Beet root halwa is one of the most popular Indian dessert .It is nutritious and healthy.Excellent for children who are not fond of beetroot. Today let us see how to make beet root halwa with step by step photo.I have prepared it in an easier method.Even beginners can try this recipe confidently.

How to do Beet root halwa:
1. Rinse, peel off and grate the beet roots finely by using small hole in the grater or food processor.
2. Place wide mouthed vessel in medium flame to cook beetroot uniformly.
3. Add in two cups of milk with the grated beetroot. Allow the milk to boil and reduce the flame.Close the vessel with the lid and cook it for 10-15 minutes.Stir the content from time to time.
4. Once the milk dries up, add sugar and stir it for 5 minutes till it blend well with the boiled beetroot..
5. Heat ghee in a pan and roast cashew in it.
Add the roasted cashews with the cooked beetroot.Stir halwa well.
Finally add a pinch of cardamom powder for nice flavour and switch off gas.
Now the colourful and sweet beetroot halwa all is ready to serve.
Serve it hot or cool or even in room temperature.In all these ways halwa tastes good.

- Sugar - 1 cup
- Cardamom powder - a pinch
- Ghee - 50g
- Cashewnuts15-20 nos

Note:
- You can add pistachios/ almond/ raisin also with the halwa.
- Adjust the sugar level according to your taste.
- It can be paired with vanilla ice cream while serving.
- You can cook beetroot in coconut milk also.
- Instead of cardamom powder, we can use crushed cardamom also.
