Here I tried the koottu with the snake Gourd. Snake Gourd is very high in water content and thus cools our body. This summer vegetable provided by the nature to beat the heat in nature.Let see how to prepare it.

Preparation time: 15 min
Cooking time:30 min

  • Mustard seed 1 tsp
  • Black gram 1 tsp
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Onion 1
  • Dry red chilli 3
  • Curry leaves
  • Wash the Snake Gourd.
  • To remove the skin of the Snake Gourd, scratch the surface of it with the knife gently. Because it has very thin skin.

  • Take the bengal gram in a wok and add water to it and cook in a slow flame for ten minutes .
  • Then add the chopped snake gourd and salt.
  • Allow it to cook for fifteen minutes.
  • Take a pan, heat oil and add the mustard seeds and the black gram.
