Banana pancake / vazhaipazha dosai recipe

Hi friends,
Eating healthy food is essential for our health. If you are in a situation to be isolated from your mom's cooking and that too without any basic knowledge about cooking, its difficult to manage. Because every time we can't depend on out side food which are not affordable also. But many wonderful recipes are there to make and enjoy by bachelors with the materials available at home itself. One among such a quick and tasty recipe that I'm going to share with you today. So say good bye to your noodles and try this recipe. Come on lets see how to make banana pancake/ vazhaipazha dosai.

Ingredients:

  • Wheat flour 2 cups
  • Ripe banana- 3 nos
  • Sugar 1/4 cup
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of cardamom powder
  • Milk- 1 cup
  • Cooking oil

1. In a medium size bowl, whisk flour, sugar, salt, cardamom powder and milk well.
Mash the bananas in a small bowl and add into the flour batter and stir it well without any lumps until well blended.Add some water till it reaches the dosa batter consistency.
2. Set a griddle or non stick pan over medium high  flame and wait till its hot.
Take a ladle of batter, pour onto pan and spread it thin or thick. I spread it thin.So that it will be cooked properly inside too. If you want to make it thick, close the dosa/ pancake with a lid for few minutes each side. Pour two teaspoon of oil around dosa/ pancake.
3. Cook until the pancake/ dosa is golden brown in both the sides.
Do the same process for the remaining batter. Now the sweet and quick banana pancakes/ vazhaipazha dosais are all ready. Serve it hot and enjoy the morning breakfast.
Note:

  • If you are a non vegetarian, you can also add eggs into the batter.
  • Those who do not want sweet taste in dosa/ pancake, can use salt alone.
  • We can spread some chopped nuts over batter when we cook the pancake.
Have a good day! And keep smiling!!
