How to make Vegetable Cutlets / vegetable patties recipe

Hello friends,
Vegetable cutlet is a popular snack. It is a great combination of vegetables and spices. It can be eaten as it is with the tomato ketchup or kept inside the burger to make it attractive. So I make cutlet very often. I am going to tell you the step by step way of making vegetable cutlets.

Ingredients required:

  • Potatoes 2 nos
  • Green peas 100g
  • Carrot 2 nos
  • Beans 2 nos
  • Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Bread crumbs
  • Cooking oil

Method:
1. Boil all the veggies and peel off the potatoes.
2.Take a big bowl and mash all the veggies with a masher. Don't mash them into fine paste. It should be slightly chunky.
3. Now divide the mixture into equal balls and flatten them with your palm as shown in the picture.
4. Coat these cutlets in the bread crumbs and dust the extra bread crumbs
5. Cook these cutlets in a medium heat.Add a teaspoon of oil around each cutlet.
6. When one side is golden, flip them and cook the next side too in the same way.As we used a little amount of oil, no need to drain oil from the cutlets.
7. Now the crispy and tasty cutlets are ready to serve for your evening snack... Serve them with tomato ketchup or with mint chutney.

Note:

  • Instead of bread crumbs, we can use rava / sooji too.
  • We can use cutlet moulds to make different shapes. So that children like to eat. This is one of the easiest  ways to make them to eat veggies.
  • Make sure the veggies are drained well before you mash them.
  • Taste the veggie mixture before making  them into balls. So that we can adjust salt and spice level according to our taste.
  • Skip garam masala , if you don't like that flavour. Instead of garam masala we can use cumin seed powder also.
What are you going to prepare for snack today?
Cook with love and serve with smile.
