Hi friends,
Wish you a very happy and prosperous new year. Today morning I boiled sakaravalli kizhangu for my children. My son asked me whether any sweet can be prepared using sakara valli kizhangu. Immediately I planned and made a halwa. Just I want to share that idea with you. Lets see how to make sakara valli kizhangu halwa.

Ingredients:
- 1/4kg of sakara valli kizhangu (sweet potato)
- 1/4 kg of jaggery
- a ladle of ghee
- few cashew nuts
- a cup of scrapped coconut.
- a pinch of cardamom powder
Procedure:
- Boil and peel off the sakara valli kizhangu.
- Smash them and keep it aside.
- Scrap the jaggery.
- Take a pan. Add water, scrapped jaggery and stir it continuously in a small flame till the jaggery completely dissolves in water. Switch off the stove and filter the jaggery syrup and keep it aside.
- Heat ghee in a non - stick pan
- Now fry the cashew nuts.
- After the cashews become golden brown, add the smashed sakara valli kizhangu (sweet potato)
- Mix them well.
- Then add the scrapped coconut and mix them well.
- Finally add the jaggery syrup and a pinch of cardamom powder. Saute it till every thing binds together.
- Remove from heat. Now the tasty sakara valli kizhangu (sweet potato) halwa is all ready to serve.
- Enjoy this new year with a new sweet item.
What for you are waiting? Just make the delicious halwa and let me know how it came out.
