Ingredients :
- Prawn 1 cup
- Onion-2 ( or ) 100 g of small onion
- A ladle of oil
- Mustard seed 1/2 tsp
- Split black gram 1/2 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Tomato 2 (medium size)
- Red chilli powder 1 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Deshell, devein, and wash the prawns thoroughly.
- Chop the onions.
Cooking Method:
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seed, split black gram and let it splutter.
- Fry the chopped onions to golden brown
- Add ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt , tomato pieces one after another and saute them continuously till the tomatoes become soft.
- Now add the prawns and mix them well. Cook the prawns in a low flame for ten to fifteen minutes.
- Garnish it with a spring of curry leaves, at present there is no stock of it.So I didn't do so.
- Remove from the heat. Here is your spicy Indian Prawn fry . Eat them and enjoy.
- Spicy Indian prawn fry goes well with steamed rice, roti, puri , iddli, dosa and parathas.
- Do not over cook the prawns, as it makes prawns rubbery .
- Water can be added to change the consistency of prawn fry.
- Adjust the chilli powder according to your taste.
Tempting and delicious dish.. The curry has a beautiful color and looks spicy..
