Egg Bajji Recipe / Muttai Bajji Recipe

Egg Bjji / Muttai Bajji
 Hello friends,
Today I'm going to share with you the method to prepare Egg Bajji / Muttai Bajji . We all know that working moms cannot prepare evening snacks because of their job timings. So they always depend on the snack items available from the shop. But I used to prepare few snacks for my children at home. They are simple to prepare, they do not involve  many procedures and healthy too.Yes its nothing but the steam boiled sweet potatoes, corns and peanuts etc. During holiday , I prepare few snacks like Bajji, Kolukkattai, Puttu , bonda etc.
There are many types of Bajjis are there. Like Vazhaikkai / palntain Bajji, onion Bajji, chilli Bajji, bread Bajji etc. All type of Bajjis are so colorful and so tasty too. Lets move to the recipe now.

  • 5 Eggs
  • gram flour / besan flour / kadalai maavu 100g
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • asafoetida 1 tsp
  • edible oil for deep frying
  • salt to taste

  • Boil, cut the Eggs vertically into two halves and keep it aside.
  • Now add red chilli powder, coriander powder, asafoetida and salt with the gram flour in a bowl.
  • Make a batter by adding water. The batter shouldn't be too watery or too thick.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Dip an egg piece in to the batter completely and deep fry it in the low flame.
  • Make three or four Bajjis at a time. Fry both the sides of the Bajjis till they are done.
  • Hot, spicy and tasty Bajjis are ready to serve.

Goes well with:
Serve the Egg Bajjis with the coconut chutnesy, kara chutney or mint leaves chutney. They add more taste to the Bajjis.
