South Indian Way Of Frying Goat's Brain

Hi friends,
                Goat's brain fry is a popular Indian recipe. Non veg lovers won't leave any part of the goat. They always like to taste each and every part of it. One of such attractive item among them is  its brain.It contains fat. Goat's brain fry  is a simple recipe and very easy to cook.Its  an easily digest able food. So children can also eat them. We can cook it once in a month. Lets check out its cooking method.




Preparation time:15 min
Cooking time: 15 min
Serves: 2 persons

Ingredients:
  • Goat's brain 2
  • A  ladle of cooking oil
  • Onion -2 If it is big (or) small onion 100g
  • Ginger garlic paste 1tsp
  • Pepper powder 1 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste

Preparation:
  • Chop the onions and set aside.
  • Boil water in a bowl and drop the goat's brain into it for two minutes. Drain the water and wait till the goat's brain cool down.
  • Peel off  the thin membrane over the brain very gently.
  • Cut each brain into two halves.
Cooking Method:
  •  Heat oil in a pan.
  • Fry the chopped onions to golden brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and saute it for five minutes to get rid of the raw smell.
  • Add pepper powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt and stir it continuously.
  • In this stage add the brain pieces and flip them very gently.
  • Cook the brains each side for five minutes in a low flame by closing the pan with a lid.
  • Here is our Goat's brain fry ready to serve.
Goes well with:
  • It can be serve with rice. Goat's brain fry is a suitable side dish for all the non veg recipes.
Note:
  • Instead of pepper powder, we can use red chilli powder.
  • Adjust the pepper powder or chilli level according to your taste.
